
Mumbai – Enforcement Directorate (ED) has seized assets worth Rs 79.78 crore in Mumbai and Dehradun, a pharma company named Sharon Bio Medicine Limited in a Rs 220 crore bank fraud scam. Giving more information in this regard, according to ED sources, seized properties include Flats, plots, hotels, agricultural land located in Navi Mumbai, Mumbai, Satara, Raigad and Dehradun, Haridwar and Pauri Garhwal.
The seizure by the ED on 24 January under the Money Laundering Act is part of the ongoing investigation into the bank fraud case registered against Sharon Bio Medicines and others. In this case, ED has so far seized assets worth Rs 96.20 crore. Earlier, action was taken against the company in the last October. ED investigation revealed that the company had allegedly damaged banks by using fake documents and fake contracts. According to the ED’s statement, the investigation has revealed that the company involved in the manufacture of pharma content had allegedly received loan facilities from banks before legalizing the funds.
The ED launched an inquiry on the basis of the case registered by CBI and Anti -Corruption Bureau (ACB) Mumbai under various sections of IPC against Sharon Bio Medicines and others and initiated action under various sections of the Prevention of Corruption Act to cheat banks. of.
