News India Live, Digital Desk: Dream of Studying in America: The number of Indian and Chinese students who dream of studying in America is in millions. Both these countries send the most international students in America. But there is also a bitter reality associated with this dream – and that is the discrimination and opposition to there. In such a situation, a big question arises whether Indian students in America have to face more difficulties or Chinese students?

What do you say data?

Recent survey and data tell some interesting things. According to a survey by Pew Research, 50% are in favor of limiting the number of students coming from US China, while for Indian students this figure is 44%. Similarly, 53% of American Indians are opposed to limiting the number of Indian students, while only 47% of people think so for Chinese students. These figures show that the American public’s inclination is slightly more positive towards Indian students.

Why is mistrust growing towards Chinese students?

Chinese students are seen with more doubt in America. The biggest reason for this is the increasing geopolitical tension between the US and China. The US government feels that China can use its students to get technology and sensitive information, on the basis of suspicion, many American universities have also sought information about their Chinese students, which has increased concern about safety among Chinese students and their families. China has also warned about the risks related to education in America. All these reasons have reduced the number of Chinese students in the last few years.

Are Indian students completely safe?

Although the attitude of the American public is a bit soft towards Indian students, it does not mean that they do not face any kind of discrimination. In recent times, hatred against immigrants in America and especially Asian people has increased. Indian students also face racial comments and discrimination. Apart from this, the changes in the recent H-1B visa rules and increased fees have made it difficult for Indian students to stay there after studying there.
