E-Memo’s fine is not filled in three months, license will be confiscated: New rules will come

New Delhi: After increasing traffic fine, the government is now going to make the rules even more strict. In the new draft being prepared in this regard, it is proposed that if a person does not pay the e-challan amount for three months, then his driving license will be suspended. In addition, if mistakes are made three times a year, such as driving in a dangerous manner and violating the red light, the license will be confiscated for three months.

The government is considering bringing such a proposal as only 40 percent of the people pay the e-challan. In such a situation, there is a plan to harden the rules to increase currency recovery. Also, if there is a fear of license, then people can be serious about driving. Government sources say that traffic challans are not being released on a large scale. Due to this, the purpose of stopping poor driving through e-challan is not being fulfilled. Apart from this, it is also proposed that the vehicle insurance premium of those who owe at least two challans will be increased. The Supreme Court has recently sought a report from 23 states and two union territories on the situation of traffic challans and payment under the Vehicle Act.

Under this law, the process of installing CCTV cameras, speed guns and automatic number plate registration has started. According to a report, Delhi is one of the states where the most traffic e-challan is issued, but the recovery is very low.

The recovery of traffic challans in Delhi is only 14 percent, while in UP it is 27 percent. Apart from this, there is a similar situation in Haryana, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Bihar and Madhya Pradesh. Government sources say that people do not pay their bills for many reasons and delay them. Apart from this, there is no fine or penalty for not paying the challan for a long time. Because of this, people often seek the help of the court for outstanding bills and get relief from there. Many people deliberately avoid currency. In such a situation, there are many vehicles on which a fine of one lakh to two lakh rupees is yet to be paid.
