Guwahati, August 30 (HS). To increase the efficiency of train operations and reduce transport congestion in the New Bongaigaon-Rangia-Kamakhya section, the Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has started various types of capacity enhancement works in addition to the doubling of this section. NFR CPRO Kapinjal Kishore Sharma has said on Friday that in this regard, pre non-interlocking work will be executed from August 31 to September 1 and non-interlocking work from September 2 to September 3 to start the double line between Barpeta Road and Sarbhog railway stations under Rangia division. In view of the non-interlocking work, regulation of train services will be required.
Cancelled Train Services:
Train No. 15769/15770 (Alipurduar Junction – Mariani – Alipurduar Junction) Intercity Express will remain cancelled from September 1 to 3.
Train No. 15753/15754 (Alipurduar Junction – Guwahati – Alipurduar Junction) Shifung Express will remain cancelled from September 1 to September 3.
Train No. 05809 (New Bongaigaon – Guwahati) Passenger will remain cancelled from 1st September to 3rd September.
Train No. 05810 (Guwahati – New Bongaigaon) Passenger will remain cancelled from September 2 to September 4.
Diversion of trains:
Train number 12506 (Anand Vihar – Kamakhya) Northeast Express commencing its journey on 31st August and 2nd September will be diverted via New Bongaigaon – Gwalpara Town – Kamakhya. Similarly, train number 12505 (Kamakhya – Anand Vihar) Northeast Express commencing its journey on 31st August, 1st September and 3rd September will be diverted via Kamakhya – Gwalpara Town – New Bongaigaon.
Train No. 15657 (Delhi – Kamakhya) Brahmaputra Mail commencing its journey on 1st September will be run via the diverted route New Bongaigaon – Gwalpara Town – Kamakhya.
Train No. 15625 (Deoghar – Agartala) Express starting its journey on 2nd September will be run via the diverted route New Bongaigaon – Gwalpara Town – Kamakhya.
Train No. 15904 (Chandigarh – Dibrugarh) Express commencing its journey on 1st September will be run via the diverted route New Bongaigaon – Gwalpara Town – Kamakhya.
Train No. 20504 (New Delhi – Dibrugarh) Rajdhani Express commencing journey on 2nd September will be run via diverted route via New Bongaigaon – Gwalpara Town – Kamakhya.
Train No. 12424/12423 (New Delhi – Dibrugarh – New Delhi) Rajdhani Express commencing journey on 2nd September will be run via diverted route New Bongaigaon – Gwalpara Town – Kamakhya and Kamakhya – Gwalpara Town – New Bongaigaon respectively.
Train No. 15631 (Barmer-Guwahati) Express starting its journey on 2nd September will be run via the diverted route New Bongaigaon- Gwalpara Town- Kamakhya.
Train No. 15634 (Guwahati – Bikaner) Express starting its journey on 31st August will be run via the diverted route Kamakhya – Gwalpara Town – New Bongaigaon.
Train No. 20501 (Agartala – Anand Vihar) Tejas Express commencing its journey on 2nd September will be run via the diverted route via Kamakhya – Goalpara Town – New Bongaigaon.
Train No. 12510 (Guwahati – SMVT Bengaluru) Express commencing journey on 3rd September will be run via diverted route Kamakhya – Goalpara Town – New Bongaigaon.

Rescheduling of trains:
Train No. 15961 (Howrah – Dibrugarh) Kamrup Express commencing journey on 2nd September has been rescheduled up to six (06) hours from its specified departure time from Howrah station.
Train No. 20505 (Dibrugarh – New Delhi) Rajdhani Express commencing journey on 2nd September has been rescheduled by three (03) hours from its specified departure time from Dibrugarh station.
