A heartbreaking double murder has come to light in Tilak Nagar area, where an elderly couple was brutally murdered in their own house. On Tuesday morning, when the daughter returned home in a house in Ganesh Nagar area of Tilak Nagar, her senses flew away. He saw his 58 -year -old mother Sukhwinder Kaur covered with blood in the living room. Subsequently, 60 -year -old father Sumer Singh Rathore was also found dead in the adjacent bedroom. Immediately this horrific incident was reported to the police. Police team immediately reached the spot and took stock of the situation. Preliminary investigation has revealed that the goods were scattered in the house and many cabinets were found open, indicating that the incident may have been done with the intention of looting. However, no clear traces of forced infiltration at the scene have been found. Deep cut marks have been found on the couple’s bodies, which is being speculated that there must have been a conflict between the attackers and the victims. Police have taken both bodies in possession and sent them for postmortem. A case has been registered under the sections of IPC at Tilak Nagar Police Station. Deputy Commissioner of Police (Western) Bizarre Veer said that several special teams have been formed to solve the mystery of this gruesome crime. Crime Branch and Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) teams are also engaged in gathering evidence. The police are investigating the footage of all the CCTV cameras in the vicinity, so that the suspects can be identified and they can be arrested as soon as possible. Security has been increased in the area and there is an atmosphere of fear among the local people after this incident.
