Deputy Chief Minister said that water conservation will not only be promoted through these lakes., Rather, the balance of the environment will also be better. Lakes will become a support for dumb animals in the scorching heat.
Referring to the rising temperatures and scorching heat, Shri Keshav Prasad Maurya said that these lakes are not just a medium for water storage., Rather, they prove to be very helpful in saving the dumb animals and birds from the scorching sun and heat. Ensuring availability of water in lakes will provide a permanent solution to the problem of drinking water for cattle in rural areas.
Action plan will be launched before the rainy season
In view of the upcoming monsoon, the Deputy Chief Minister has instructed the officials to work on a war footing. He said that a concrete action plan for water harvesting should be prepared before the beginning of the rainy season. District level to take this scheme out of paper and put it on ground., Accountability of block level and village level officials should be fixed.
The Deputy Chief Minister said that this development framework should not be limited to only selected areas but should reach every village and hamlet of the state. The environmental balance should be strengthened by planting trees around the Amrit Sarovars and a favorable environment should be created for the villagers to sit and walk.
