News India Live, Digital Desk: Today you and I are living in an era where whether it is a tea stall or a big mall, ‘giving money’ is no longer a matter of taking out the wallet from the pocket. Just took out the phone, scanned and it was done. But, just imagine—you are stuck somewhere, your phone’s internet is out or the signal is very weak. What will you do then?
A new wonderful feature of UPI has brought the solution to this big problem. National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) has given a twist to technology, which is no less than a boon for common users like us.
No more network hassles (Offline Payments)
The biggest relief news is that now you will be able to make small payments even without internet. You can see this as an advanced form of ‘UPI Lite’. Often while traveling in the vegetable market or bus, the transaction used to get stuck due to the network. Now that is a thing of the past. This will benefit the most those people who live in small towns or areas where the internet still plays hide and seek.
Delegate Payment (UPI Circle): Take care of the family
Another interesting thing that has come to light is the ‘UPI Circle’. If you have children or any elderly members in your house who do not have their own bank account or are a little afraid of technology, then you can now give them permission to make payments from your account (Delegate). This means that the phone will be theirs, they will make the payment, but the money will be deducted from your wallet – that too after setting your limits. It is strong in terms of security and also reliable.
Just call and payment will be done
Now ‘Voice-Enabled UPI’ is also making its place in the year 2026. This simply means that now you do not need to move your fingers on the phone or type briefly. You just give a command by speaking and the money will be transferred securely. This is especially great for those who are not that adept at typing.
