Deputy Chief Minister Shri Maurya inaugurated new machines in the Government Institute of Food Processing Technology, interacted with girl students and planted saplings.


Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya today cut the ribbon and inaugurated the new machines installed in the state-of-the-art laboratories of the institute in a grand program organized at the Government Institute of Food Processing Technology, Sapru Marg, Lucknow. On this occasion, he inspected the institute and got information about modern technologies and new equipment related to food processing. He said that students will get quality and practical training through state-of-the-art machines, which will enable them to become efficient as per the requirements of modern industries.

During the program, Deputy Chief Minister Shri Maurya interacted with the girl students undergoing training and discussed in detail their experiences, quality of training and future prospects. Encouraging the girl students, he said that skill development and technical training are the strong foundation of self-reliant India. He called upon the girl students to use the knowledge and skills gained in the field of self-employment and entrepreneurship and said that the government is continuously working to make the youth, especially women, economically empowered and self-reliant.

Shri Maurya said that there are immense opportunities for employment and entrepreneurship in the food processing sector. Through modern technology, innovation and quality training, the youth and women of the state can not only get employment themselves but can also create employment opportunities for others. On this occasion, while giving the message of environmental protection and green development, he “A tree in the name of mother” Saplings were also planted under the campaign. Calling upon the people of the state to plant more and more trees and take a pledge to conserve them, he said that conservation of nature is the collective responsibility of all of us and tree plantation is very important for the safe future of the coming generations.
