According to the report of news agency PTI, during this high-level review meeting held in Lucknow, Industrial Development Minister Nand Gopal Gupta said that the Uttar Pradesh government has officially approved the Detailed Project Report (DPR) of the Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) i.e. Rapid Rail connecting Jewar Airport to Delhi. After getting the green signal from the state government, this final DPR has now been sent to the Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs of the Central Government for final approval and funding.
In this meeting, top officials of YIDA told that a very special technical provision has also been included in the DPR prepared. proposed under Delhi-Varanasi High-Speed Rail Corridor It will be directly linked to the main terminal of Jewar Airport through a dedicated station. After the implementation of this high-speed bullet/rapid rail connectivity, the travel time between Delhi and Jewar will be reduced to just 21 minutes, which will save precious time of the passengers.
Yamuna Expressway area will become the country’s largest cargo hub
Drawing a blueprint for the future, the Industrial Development Minister said that after the inauguration of Jewar Airport, the entire Yamuna Expressway area is going to emerge as a very big cargo hub at the global level. To increase the strategic and commercial importance of this entire region, Yamuna Expressway is being directly connected to many other major expressway corridors of Uttar Pradesh.
Mega-Network of Expressways: According to officials, the Yamuna Expressway is being interlinked with the Agra-Lucknow Expressway, Bundelkhand Expressway, Purvanchal Expressway, Delhi-Mumbai Expressway and the under-construction Ganga Expressway. After this connectivity, goods coming from North and Central India will be able to directly reach the cargo terminal of Jewar Airport without any hindrance.
2 new urban cities will be established in Tappal-Bajna and Hathras
During the review meeting, YIDA officials informed the Minister that a comprehensive master plan is being prepared for the economic development of Hathras district, under which a completely new and modern urban city will be developed there. Along with this, Yamuna Expressway is being expanded directly towards Taj city Agra via Hathras. Officials also said that in Tappal-Bajna area 4700 acres The YIDA team is also working rapidly on the plan to establish another grand urban city on the vast agricultural land.
