A 55-year-old man injured in a Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport (BEST) bus accident in Mumbai’s Kurla died on Monday. The number of people who lost their lives in this accident has now increased to eight.
On December 9, seven people were crushed by a BEST electric bus on a crowded road in Kurla. 42 people were injured and many vehicles were damaged in the accident. The deceased has been identified as Fazlu Rehman, who died during treatment.

The BEST administration has formed a five-member committee to investigate the matter. The bus driver responsible for the accident, Sanjay More, is in police custody. The BEST administration claims that More was given three days of training before he was allowed to drive the electric bus.
