In view of the increase in cases of infection, the government led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has issued a new Corona Advisory in the state. Under this, all the districts have been instructed to remain special alert and take precautionary measures.

In recent times, there has been an increase in positivity rates in Lucknow and surrounding areas. This is an indication that the virus is still present and is not completely over. Both health department and administration have become active as new cases have increased. The first priority of the government is to ensure that the spread of infection can be controlled and any major wave can be stopped.

Main things in new advisory:

  • Vigilance and monitoring: All District Magistrates and Chief Medical Officers (CMOS) have been instructed to increase the monitoring of Kovid-19 cases in their respective areas.

  • Testing and tracing: Testing of suspected cases will be increased and people who came in contact with infected persons will be detected and isolated.

  • Advice to wear masks: People have been advised to wear masks in public places, crowded markets and health facilities.

  • Hand hygiene: It is important to wash hands regularly or use a sanitizer.

  • Social distance: Appeal has been made to follow the social distance at crowded places.

  • Covid-friendly behavior: People are being encouraged to re-adopt covid-friendly behavior, including avoiding unnecessary journey and consulting a doctor immediately on symptoms such as flu.

  • Health facilities preparations: All hospitals and health centers have been asked to be ready to deal with any situation and ensure adequate beds, oxygen and availability of medicines.

The Yogi government has clarified that even though the situation is still under control, any kind of negligence can be heavy. Therefore, all citizens have been urged to follow the guidelines issued by the government and strictly follow the Korona protocol, so that the third or fourth wave situation can be avoided.
