Congratulations on ‘International Child Protection Day’ and ‘World Milk Day’, Lakhpati Didi made from milk, Keshav Prasad Maurya

Today, Keshav Prasad Maurya has extended hearty congratulations and best wishes to all the countrymen and people of the state on the occasion of ‘International Children’s Day’ and ‘World Milk Day’. The Deputy Chief Minister said that children are the future of our country and their safe childhood is our top priority. Along with this, he praised the efforts of crores of cattle farmers of the country, especially rural women and ‘didis’ of self-help groups, to keep India on top in the global stage in milk production. Shri Keshav Prasad Maurya Ji said that under the able leadership of Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji, the double engine government is working with full commitment for the safe, healthy and golden future of children: • Mission Vatsalya and Child Protection: Thousands of children have been directly benefited under ‘Mission Vatsalya’ to provide family environment and financial assistance to orphan, destitute and distressed children. • Mukhyamantri Bal Seva Yojana: Under this scheme, launched for children who lost their parents during the Covid period or in other disasters, children are being given financial assistance of ₹ 4,000 per month, free education and assistance for marriage of girls. • Fight against malnutrition (Saksham Anganwadi): Under the ‘Poshan Abhiyaan’ in the state, lakhs of Anganwadi centers have been upgraded as ‘Saksham Anganwadi’. Through the ‘Hot Cooked Meal Scheme’, hot cooked nutritious food is being given to children aged 3 to 6 years, due to which a historic decline has been recorded in the rate of child malnutrition in the state. • School Chalo Abhiyan and Operation Kayakalp: Under ‘Operation Kayakalp’, more than 1.35 lakh primary schools of the state have been equipped with modern facilities, smart classes and child-friendly infrastructure, resulting in a new record of student enrollment in government schools. • Eradication of child labor and strict laws: Under the ‘zero tolerance’ policy against child labor and child marriage, strict action is being taken against the culprits. Speedy justice is being ensured in crimes against children through POCSO courts.
