Delhi-NCR: Cold increases, pollution continues
Winter has finally started for the people of Delhi. The icy winds coming from the mountains have increased the shivering in Delhi.
- Drop in temperature: Today the minimum temperature in Delhi is expected to be around 12 degrees Celsius, while the maximum temperature can go up to 26 degrees Celsius.
- Beginning of fog: Light mist and fog may be seen in the morning, due to which drivers will have to exercise some caution.
- Impact of pollution: As the cold increases, Delhi’s biggest problem, i.e. the level of pollution, also remains in the ‘severe’ category. There is no hope of getting relief from the poisonous air at present.
Condition of other states of North India
Not only in Delhi, but also in Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh, the nights have started getting cold. The weather will remain dry in these states and a drop in temperature will be recorded.

While the cold is increasing in North India, there is a possibility of rain from the sky in the South.
- Heavy rain alert: The Meteorological Department has issued an alert of heavy to very heavy rain for the next 24 hours in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal. Due to the cyclonic system formed in the Bay of Bengal, there may be heavy rains with strong winds in these areas.
- Rain in Kerala and Andhra Pradesh also: Apart from this, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain in parts of Kerala, Rayalaseema and coastal Andhra Pradesh.
- Warning to fishermen: In view of the bad weather, fishermen have been advised not to go into the sea.
