Chief Minister mass marriage 448 couples become life partners

Banda, 30 November (Hindustan Reporter). Pt. J.N.P.G. The Chief Minister’s mass marriage program organized by the Social Welfare Department at the college grounds concluded with much fanfare. In this ceremony, marriage of 448 couples was done by the priests of Gayatri family with proper chanting of mantras and according to traditions. Chief guest Jal Shakti Department Minister of State Ramkesh Nishad, District Panchayat President Sunil Singh Patel, Municipality President Malti Basu Gupta, District Magistrate Nagendra Pratap, and other public representatives participated in the program.

Minister of State Ramkesh Nishad, while blessing the newly married couples, said that the Chief Minister Group Marriage Scheme is very beneficial for poor families. This scheme is being organized continuously since 2017, in which marriages of daughters of all sections as well as daughters of minority families are conducted with full rituals. He said that under this scheme, the amount given for marriage has been increased from Rs 31,000 to Rs 51,000. This scheme is not only helpful in ending the evils like dowry system, but also provides financial support to poor families.

In the program, District Magistrate Nagendra Pratap congratulated the newlyweds and said that this ambitious scheme of the Chief Minister is helpful in reducing the financial problems related to the marriage of daughters in the society. He underlined the broader social importance of the scheme.

Former BJP District President Lovelesh Singh, Block Chief Naraini Manful Patel, Chief Development Officer Ved Prakash Maurya, Additional District Magistrate Rajesh Kumar, District Social Welfare Officer Abhishek Kumar Awasthi, and other officials registered their presence in the ceremony.

Through the Chief Minister’s Mass Marriage Programme, the state government is also emphasizing the objective of making women empowered and self-reliant. The responsibility for health, education and marriage of daughters is being taken care of through schemes like Kanya Sumangala Yojana, Mission Shakti, Ujjwala Yojana, and Janani Suraksha Yojana.

The program was conducted by Archana Bharti, and it was described as an excellent example of social harmony and public welfare.
