Taking prompt action, the police has revealed a major incident of theft in the historical Shantinath Digambar Jain temple located in Chatra district of Jharkhand. A 100 year old precious idol of Ashtadhatu was stolen from this temple located in Itkhori police station area, which was recovered by the police within just two hours.

What is the whole matter?

Temple manager Tarachand Jain had filed a complaint of theft at Itkhori police station on May 20. The statue had immense historical and religious significance, as it contained all Figures of 24 Tirthankaras are marked together.
