Case filed against 17 including Infosys co-founder Gopalakrishnan

New Delhi: Karnataka Police has registered a case under the SC/ST Atrocities Act against Infosys co-founder Chris Gopalakrishnan and former IISC Director Balram and 16 others in Bangalore.

A case was registered at Sadashiv Nagar Police Station based on the instructions of the 71st City Civil and Sessions Court (CCH).

The complainant Durgappa is from the tribal Bovi community and was a faculty member at the Center for Sustainable Technology at the Indian Institute of Science. He claimed that he was falsely implicated in the Honey Trap case in 2014 and was later dismissed from the job. He further alleged that he was humiliated and threatened. A case has also been registered against other persons Govindan Rangarajan, Sridhar Warrier, Sandhya Vishveshwar, Hari KVS, Dasappa, Balaram P, Hemlata Mishi, Chattopadhyay K, Pradeep D Savkar and Manoharan in the incident.
