Car caught fire due to short circuit, cash worth Rs 5 lakh burnt along with car


Jalaun, 16 April (Hindustan Reporter) A fire broke out due to short circuit in a moving car on Tuesday afternoon on Ukasa road near Atta toll on Jhansi-Kanpur highway. Within no time the entire car started burning. The driver was taken out with the help of passersby. Atta police controlled the fire with the help of fire brigade. But by then the car was burnt to ashes along with cash worth Rs 5 lakh and Navratri puja items kept in the vehicle.

Narendra Singh, a native of Haidalpur, was going from Orai to his village Haidalpur to buy a tractor. As soon as he reached near the flour toll. Suddenly the car caught fire due to short circuit on Ukasa road. Seeing the burning car, passersby pulled the driver out and informed the police. The fire brigade reached the spot and controlled the fire. By then, five lakh 60 thousand rupees and Navratri puja items kept in the car were burnt to ashes.
