According to latest reports, Chinese researchers have discovered such a special ‘Solar Coating’ Has been prepared, which if applied on normal glass, turns that glass into a solar panel.
If you understand in simple language, you will be able to clearly see the view outside your window, sunlight will come in, but that thin layer (coating) on the same glass will silently absorb that sunlight and generate electricity.
How does it work?
This technology uses a special material (Organic Photovoltaic Materials). It can be applied on any transparent surface, such as windows, car mirrors or glass facades of large buildings.

- The most important thing is that it does not affect the transparency of the glass much. That means glass will be used but it will work as a power house.
What will be the benefit?
Just imagine, if this coating is applied on all the big buildings in our cities which are completely covered with glass, how much electricity will be generated?
