Bloody clash during Ram Navami procession in Hazaribagh, two youths killed, heavy police force deployed

News India Live, Digital Desk: In Hazaribagh district of Jharkhand, there is mourning amid the happiness of Ram Navami. Late Saturday night, two youths were attacked and killed with sharp weapons in the violence that broke out during the Ram Navami procession. These two separate incidents, which took place around midnight, have created a sensation in the entire city. In view of the tense situation, heavy police force and security agencies have been deployed in sensitive areas. The administration has appealed to the people to maintain peace.

Bloody game took place at Jhanda Chowk at midnight According to the police, both the incidents of murder took place near Jhanda Chowk in the Town police station area. When the Ram Navami procession was in full swing in the city, unknown assailants took advantage of the crowd and targeted two youths. The deceased have been identified as Prince Kumar of Silwar village and Abhishek Kumar of Bada Bazar. Eyewitnesses say that Abhishek was suddenly attacked with a sharp weapon, due to which he fell down bleeding. He was immediately taken to Sheikh Bhikhari Medical College and Hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead. Similarly, Prince Kumar was also attacked, who died before reaching the hospital.

Administration took charge, teams engaged in investigation As soon as information about the incident was received, Sadar SDO Aditya Pandey and SDPO Amit Anand reached the spot with heavy police force. The officials assured the victims’ families of proper justice and opened the blocked procession route. Police have registered a case against unknown attackers and started searching for them. However, till now no one has been arrested in this case. Police are scanning the footage of CCTV cameras to identify the attackers.

Lots of injured in hospital, police on high alert According to medical reports, a large number of people reached Sheikh Bhikhari Medical College Hospital from Saturday evening to Sunday afternoon. Most of these people were injured while performing sword and stick tricks during the procession, but the two murders have raised questions on the security arrangements. The administration has increased vigil in every nook and corner of the city and drone cameras are also being used to keep an eye on the miscreants. At present, the situation in Hazaribagh is under control but tension remains.
