Bengaluru: A sensational incident has come to light from Koramangala, one of the most high-profile areas of Karnataka’s capital and IT city Bengaluru, which has raised serious question marks on the security of online delivery services. A delay of just a few minutes and a minor altercation took such a violent turn that the delivery boy who came to deliver the goods punched the customer hard on his face and broke his nose.

Had to order snacks at midnight

This entire incident happened around 2 o’clock in the night of March 7. A young man named Paul, living in the 8th block of Koramangala, started the online grocery app. Blinkit Had ordered some snacks through. When the delivery boy reached Paul’s apartment in the dead of night, there was some confusion about the location. It is being told that the delivery boy had mistakenly gone to the fourth floor, while Paul was waiting for him on the second floor.

The dispute started over the floor and then the attack

When Paul called the delivery boy and asked him to come to the second floor, an argument started between the two as soon as they reached there. Within no time the war of words escalated so much that the delivery boy lost his temper. Without thinking anything, he punched Paul on the face with such force that Paul bled to death. Due to the attack, blood started flowing from Paul’s nose and there were deep wounds on his lips.

Immediately after the incident, injured Paul was taken to a nearby hospital. When the doctors did an X-ray, a shocking revelation was made. The punch was so deadly that Paul’s nose bone was completely broken. Seeing Paul’s condition after primary treatment, he has gone to his home state Kerala for further treatment. This incident has created an atmosphere of fear among the nearby residents.

Accused on police radar, FIR registered

At present, Koramangala police station has registered an FIR in this matter, showing promptness. Police have identified the accused delivery boy and raids are being conducted to nab him. However, the real cause of the dispute—what happened that escalated the matter to such an extreme level—is still under investigation. Police are also examining the data and call records of the app.
