News India Live, Digital Desk: A big upheaval is being seen in the politics of West Bengal. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has made a shocking change in its strategy to demolish the Trinamool Congress (TMC) fort in the state. If sources are to be believed, instead of directly targeting Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, BJP is now working on a plan to corner her ‘warlords’ and grassroots ‘leaders’.

Why not a direct attack on Mamata Banerjee?

Learning from the experiences of previous assembly elections, the BJP’s central leadership believes that personal attacks on Mamata Banerjee are often linked to ‘Bengali pride’, giving them sympathy benefits. With this in mind:

Smart target instead of soft target: Instead of Mamata Banerjee’s image, BJP is now targeting those strong TMC leaders who bring victory to the party at the booth level.

Corruption and local issues: The party’s focus will now be on issues like local level corruption, syndicate raj and cut money rather than directly on the CM.

BJP’s eyes are fixed on these ‘evildoers’

BJP has made a special strategy for those areas of Bengal where strong TMC leaders have dominance.

Organizational Reshuffle: Along with old faces, new and influential local faces are being brought forward.

Strong Network: The grassroots workers of RSS and BJP are now going directly among the public and promoting the schemes of the Central Government, so that the schemes of Mamata Government can be countered.

Mission 2026: Will ‘silent operation’ succeed?

This ‘secret plan’ of BJP is going to work silently to a great extent. The party wants to build a solid ground instead of making noisy statements.

Women Vote Bank: BJP’s special focus is on women, who are traditionally considered to be Mamata Banerjee’s strong vote bank.

Youth Participation: Efforts have been intensified to win over the youth by making unemployment and recruitment scams an issue.
