New Delhi: The morning of Wednesday (April 1) was a stir in the world of social media. The popular social media platform ‘X’ (formerly Twitter), owned by the world’s richest man Elon Musk, suddenly went down. Thousands of users in America and many other parts of the world including India faced huge problems in accessing the app and website. When people opened the app early in the morning to know the updates, neither the timeline was being refreshed nor the account was able to be logged in. However, after a few hours of this technical glitch, services have now gradually been restored and the platform has started working smoothly again.

Lots of complaints on Downdetector

The data of ‘Downdetector’, a famous website that monitors internet outages, made the seriousness of this technical glitch clear. According to reports, the problem in the server started appearing around 2:03 am on Tuesday. Within just a few hours, the number of complaints from all over the world increased rapidly and crossed 25,500. At the same time, thousands of users in India also reported the outage of ‘X’ early on Wednesday morning. News agency Reuters has also confirmed that hundreds of complaints had been filed in the US regarding technical glitches on this platform since Tuesday night.

Grok AI admits to outage, but company’s ‘silence’ continues

When the platform’s own artificial intelligence chatbot ‘Grok AI’ was questioned about this global outage, it also admitted that a sudden surge in complaints was seen on the monitoring sites on Wednesday morning (April 1). Grok said that users are continuously posting like ‘X is down’ or ‘X was down’. Despite such a big problem and thousands of complaints, till the time of writing the news, no official statement has been issued by Elon Musk or X Support regarding the real reason for the server being down.

After all, why is Musk’s platform panting again and again?

The biggest concern of the users is that the server of ‘X’ is starting to go down every day. Let us tell you that on Tuesday afternoon also there was a brief interruption on the platform, for which more than 20 thousand complaints were received. This trend is not new; Just before this, on March 26, more than 15,000 users had faced problems like log-in and timeline not loading. Apart from this, in the month of January also the platform crashed on a large scale across the world. Due to these continuous technical glitches, the experience of the users is being deeply affected.
