The long -awaited salary agreement in JCPCPL (Jampaul), the joint venture of Tata Steel and Sumitomo Metals, has finally been approved, which is going to increase significantly in the monthly salary of both permanent and contract employees. The agreement has been signed after a conversation between the management and the National Metal Termon Mazdoor Union (BMP).

Under this new veg agreement, a huge increase in monthly salary for permanent employees has been fixed directly up to ₹ 14,000. This will be effective with adjustment in their basic salary and other allowances. At the same time, there has been a consensus on a satisfactory increase in the monthly payment of contracts and temporary employees, which will also give them a lot of relief. The benefit of this salary agreement will be available to about 285 permanent employees as well as about 600 contracts and temporary employees, which will directly benefit more than 900 employees.

Apart from the salary hike, this three-year-year agreement also includes several other important provisions for employees. Many allowances such as attendance allowance, food allowance, advantage of provident fund (PF), and annual medical examination have been fixed for permanent employees. In addition, the holiday travel allowance (LTA) is also included for them, which will provide an additional financial assistance.

Another very important point of this agreement is that all employees working in the company and their dependents will now be helped in providing caste certificates. This was a long -standing demand of employees, which has now been met. This agreement reflects better industrial relations between management and employee representatives to the welfare of workers, which is expected to improve the work environment in the company. This agreement will not only improve the financial position of the employees, but will also have a positive impact on the company’s productivity.
