It is reported that Jharkhand State Pharmacy Council is working towards canceling the registration of about 2500 pharmacists in the state. This is not a small figure. Actually, many big reasons have emerged behind this. There are some people who have not renewed their registration for years, while there are some cases where people are working somewhere else and their license is being used at some other shop.
Often you must have heard that a shop has been opened by taking a degree on rent. The Council has now decided to crack down on such ‘named’ pharmacists. The main objective of this step is to ensure that only those who are truly qualified and are working hard are identified. Due to people manipulating the papers in wrong way, questions start being raised on the entire system and there is a possibility of playing with people’s health also.
This strictness of the administration has pleased those honest pharmacists who wanted this system to be clean. This decision of Jharkhand Pharmacy Council is a strong lesson for those who think that once the certificate is taken, it is not necessary to follow the rules. The council may officially remove these names from the list in the coming few weeks.
