News India Live, Digital Desk: Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC) has taken an important decision regarding the re-examination of Assistant Professor Recruitment (Advt. No. 51). The Commission has clarified that instead of including all subjects in the evaluation process, the focus will be on re-evaluation of answer sheets of only five specific subjects. This decision has given heartbeats to thousands of candidates who have been waiting for the results of the entire examination process for a long time. This step of the Commission is being seen with the aim of increasing transparency and speed in the selection process.

On which 5 subjects is the commission’s eye fixed?

According to sources, the Commission has selected those subjects for re-evaluation in which discrepancies or technical complaints were received during the earlier examination. Although the Commission has taken caution in officially making public the names of the five subjects, it is believed that these may include core subjects like Hindi, Sanskrit and Sociology. Only after re-evaluation of these subjects will the way for the final merit list and interview be cleared.

What will be the impact on the exams to be held on 18th and 19th April?

As per the schedule set by the Education Services Selection Commission, the re-examination of Assistant Professor Recruitment is being conducted in two shifts on 18th and 19th April 2026. This new decision regarding evaluation will not affect the currently ongoing examination process, but is for the pending results which were stopped due to disputes. The Commission is trying to reduce the evaluation errors to zero this time so that any legal hurdles can be avoided in future.

Team of experts will examine the copies

To make the process of revaluation flawless, the Commission has constituted a special committee of external experts. This team will not only match the answer keys but will also ensure fairness in determining the cut-off. Candidates have welcomed this step of the Commission, but have also raised the demand that the evaluation process should be time bound so that there is no further delay in appointments.

New schedule of interview and final result soon

As soon as this ‘Limited Evaluation’ of five subjects is completed, the Commission will release a new schedule of interviews. This recruitment process to fill the vacant posts of Assistant Professor in non-government aided colleges of Uttar Pradesh has been in discussion for the last many years. Now that the Commission has found a way to remove the hurdle of evaluation, it is expected that the selected candidates can get appointment letters by June 2026.
