Today is a very important day for lakhs of candidates appearing in the process of admission to engineering (BE/B.Tech) courses in Maharashtra. Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell is going to release the Final Merit List and Category-wise Tentative Seat Matrix of MHT CET 2026 today, 27th July. Candidates who had successfully completed the verification of their documents (online or physical) by the scheduled deadline of July 20, 2026, can now check their final state rank and all India rank by visiting the official admission portal.

According to CET Cell, from July 28 to July 30, candidates will have to select their preferred colleges and branches in the online option form. Experts recommend that candidates should submit as many eligible preferences as per their rank to increase their chances of seat allotment.

Merit ranking and tie-breaking rules

The rank of Maharashtra State (MS) candidates is prepared separately by the CET cell based on MHT CET percentile and the rank of All India (AI) candidates is prepared separately on the basis of JEE Main score.
