News India Live, Digital Desk: After a sensational incident challenging the law and order in Kasganj district of Uttar Pradesh, the police administration is adopting a strict stance. Samajwadi Party leader Amit Gupta father of Murarilal Gupta Gross police negligence has come to light in the case of murder that took place in broad daylight. After this incident, the Captain (SP) took strict action and arrested 9 policemen simultaneously.
What is the whole matter?
Murarilal Gupta, father of SP leader Amit Gupta, was shot dead by unknown assailants in Patiali police station area of Kasganj. He was sitting outside his shop at the time of the incident. This incident, which happened in public, spread anger in the entire area and opposition parties started raising questions on the ‘zero tolerance’ policy of the government.
The blame fell on 9 policemen
Preliminary investigation into the incident has found serious negligence of the local police and failure of the information system. The Superintendent of Police took the following steps with immediate effect:
Patiali Inspector: The station in-charge has been put on the line for failing to maintain law and order.
Two Sub-Inspectors (SI): The concerned post in-charge and beat in-charge have also been suspended and sent to the police line.
6 constable: Similar action has been taken against half a dozen policemen who were negligent in duty.

Since the deceased was the father of a prominent SP leader, the case has also taken on a political colour. The high command of Samajwadi Party has condemned this incident and termed it as ‘Jungle Raj’ and has warned of a major agitation if the accused are not arrested soon.
