Big accident in Uttarakhand, bus fell into the valley in Bhimtal, 25 people were on board, four died

Bhimtal bus accident: A major accident took place today in Bhimtal of Kumaon division of Uttarakhand. A roadways bus going from Almora to Haldwan fell into a 1500 feet deep gorge near Amdali on the Bhimtal-Ranibag motor road. There were 27 people in the bus. So far the deaths of four people have been confirmed. While some are seriously injured.

As soon as the information about the accident was received, the police reached the spot and carried out relief and rescue operations. There is a lot of difficulty in evacuating the injured from the valley. The injured are being saved with the help of ropes and shoulders by the police and local people.

Meanwhile, 15 ambulances have been sent to Haldwani. A large-scale rescue team is engaged. At present the injured have been taken to CHC Bhimtal. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has expressed grief over the accident.
