Changes in rules from August 1: New rules are going to be implemented on Fastag related services from August 1. Now the vehicle registration number will have to be uploaded on the Fastag number within 90 days of purchasing the vehicle. If the number is not updated within the stipulated time, it will be put on the hotlist.
After this, an additional 30 days will be given but if the vehicle number is not updated even in this, the FASTag will be blacklisted. However, the relief is that FASTag service provider companies will have to do KYC of all five and three year old FASTags by 31 October.

According to the new conditions, NPCI has also fixed the fees related to issuing new FASTags and re-issuing FASTags, security deposit and minimum recharge.
