Azam Khan once again in jail: Know what is the whole matter

Samajwadi Party’s senior leader, Azam Khan, has once again been sent to jail. This time the case is related to two PAN cards, in which the MP-MLA Court of Rampur has sentenced him and his son Abdullah Azam to seven years in jail. After the announcement of the sentence, both were taken to Rampur jail. When the journalists talked to Azam Khan while going to jail, he simply said, “This is the decision of the court. If we were found guilty, then we had to be punished.” Meanwhile, Azam Khan’s lawyer has filed an application in the court that the father and son should be kept in the same jail. Now the court has to take the final decision on this. What is this whole matter? This case is of the year 2019, which was registered by BJP MLA Akash Kumar Saxena. He had alleged that Abdullah Azam had made two PAN cards using two different birth certificates. These PAN cards were used at different places as per the need and all this happened with the knowledge of Azam Khan. This case went on for almost six years and now the court has given its verdict. The court found both Azam Khan and his son Abdullah Azam guilty in this case. Court’s decision: 7 years’ imprisonment and fine. MP-MLA Magistrate Court has sentenced the father and son to seven years’ imprisonment each. Along with this, a fine of Rs 50 thousand has also been imposed on him. As soon as the verdict came, the police took both of them into custody and sent them to jail. It is also worth noting that Azam Khan had come out of Sitapur jail only 55 days ago. BJP MLA Akash Saxena expressed happiness over this decision and said that it is a ‘victory of truth’.
