
News India Live, Digital DESK: Ayushman Card: The ambitious Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY) of the Government of India, also known as ‘Ayushman Bharat Yojana’, provides free treatment of up to ₹ 5 lakh to the poor and weaker sections of the country. To avail this scheme, it is mandatory for you to have a ‘Ayushman Card’. The good news is that now you can easily make this card online at home. This process is proving to be life saving for millions of people who are troubled by the burden of expensive medicine. Easy way to apply online for Ayushman card: Eligibility Check (Eligibility Check): First of all it is important to know whether you are eligible for this scheme. You can check your eligibility by visiting the official website of ‘Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana’ (PMJAY.GOV.IN). Click on the ‘AM I Eligible’ section here, enter your mobile number and verify OTP. Then search your eligibility by searching by the state and ration card or mobile number or name. Registration on the online portal: If you are eligible, you have to register by visiting the official portal of Ayushman India (Mera.PMJAY.GOV.IN). Note, Direct Registration is not available everywhere, you may have to take help of a Common Service Center (CSC) or a closest listed hospital. If there is an option on the direct portal, do OTP based verification via mobile number and Aadhaar card. Apply on the options available on the options (eg, self-registration). Documents will have to be uploaded: Aadhar card -identity certificate (voter ID, PAN card etc.) Ration card (with the name of all family members) proof of address (if necessary) Fill and submit the form: Fill all the information carefully and scan the necessary documents and upload it. Before submitting the application form finally, check all the details once again. Download and print Ayushman Card: Your application may take some time to verify. After verification, if you are found eligible, you will get an approval. You can download and print your e-Ayushman card from Ayushman Bharat’s official website or Common Service Center. There may be a slight difference in the online application process according to the states. If the online process is not available directly, the easiest way is to contact your nearest Common Service Center (CSC) or ‘Ayushman Mitra’ in the listed hospital. They will fully help in checking your eligibility and making cards. The Ayushman card provides health protection shield, which reduces the financial burden of treatment of serious diseases to a great extent.
