A challan of Rs 20,000 was deducted against the son of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Amanatullah Khan from Okhla assembly constituency in Delhi. It is alleged that he violated traffic rules. During the incident, the MLA’s son tried to show the influence of his father’s name on the police.
The police, while registering an entry in the general diary (GD) in this case, fined the bike. This dispute has become the center of political and administrative allegations.
MLA Amanatullah Khan’s statement
Amanatullah Khan reacted strongly to the incident. He claimed that his son was deliberately targeted by Jamia Nagar SHO.
- Amanatullah Khan’s charge:
- His son was stopped due to the flag of the Aam Aadmi Party on his bike.
- SHO abused and fined Rs 22,000.
- SHO tried to threaten his son and intended to spoil the atmosphere in the area.
They said,
“Will he be hanged due to cases already registered on my son?” Police should focus on law and order. SHO is doing politics instead of stopping the robbery and theft of the area. ”

According to the police, the incident took place on Thursday night a day before Republic Day, when patrolling was being done in Jamia Nagar area.
Police allegations:
- Two boys were stopped, who had a modified silencer on their bikes, causing loud sounds.
- Both did not follow the traffic rules and refused to show the identity card.
- The MLA’s son argued with his father’s name and tried to accuse the police.
- Violation of several provisions was found under the Motor Vehicles Act, which led to the challan and the bike was confiscated.

- Police stopped two bike riding youths during patrolling.
- The silencer of the bike was modified, causing a loud sound coming.
- The youth refused to give identity card and driving license.
- One of them called MLA Amanatullah Khan.
- The police station in -charge spoke to the MLA, but the young man left the spot without giving information.

- Police say the fine was imposed due to violation of traffic rules.
- The MLA described it as political vengeance and revenge action.
- Amanatullah Khan said that SHO’s attitude with his son was biased and BJP supported.
Controversy takes political color
The MLA accused the police of targeting his family for political purpose.
They said,
“Video recording will reveal the truth. SHOs are BJP supporters and are deliberately spoiling the atmosphere. ”
On the other hand, the police described the case as linked to law and order and denied any political influence.
