A sad news came for the BJP as voting was going on for all 10 seats in Haryana on Saturday during the sixth phase of the Lok Sabha elections. Independent MLA from Badshahpur in Gurugram, Rakesh Daulatabad (45) passed away. He had a heart attack.

After winning as an independent, he supported BJP

According to the information, he suffered a heart attack at around 10:30 am and was admitted to Manipal Hospital, where his life could not be saved during treatment. In the 2019 assembly elections, Rakesh Daulatabad won the Badshahpur seat as an independent. Then he announced to support BJP. He defeated BJP candidate Manish Yadav. His image was that of a social worker.

Haryana CM expressed condolences

The Daulatabad MLA was supporting the BJP amid the recent political tension in Haryana. Three independent MLAs withdrew their support from the BJP, which put the Naib Singh Saini government in trouble. Haryana Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini also condoled the death of Daulatabad.
