Ranchi, June 18 (HS). Leader of Opposition in Jharkhand Assembly Amar Kumar Bauri on Tuesday attacked the state government over the slaughter of prohibited meat and siege of Hindu houses by people of a particular community of the neighboring state of West Bengal on the occasion of Bakrid in Gopinath Pur village under Pakur district.
Bauri said that this is a Talibani mentality, which is being protected by the state government due to appeasement. He said that BJP will never tolerate this. He also said that it is the good fortune of such people that there is a JMM-Congress-RJD government in Jharkhand, otherwise people with such a perverted mentality would have been brought to their senses. On the issue of cutting prohibited meat on Bakrid, miscreants of a particular community of Bengal vandalized the houses of the Hindu community of Pakur and also threw bombs along with stones.
Bauri said that he has spoken to the District Deputy Commissioner and other senior officials and directed the police and district administration to take immediate action in the matter and protect life and property. Such people with Talibani mentality will not be spared at all. The government should take strict action. He also said that Jharkhand is standing at the threshold of a big danger, which is being nurtured by the JMM-Congress-RJD government itself.
Bauri said that the issues related to banned meat have come to light through media in other districts including the state capital. The result of appeasement and vote bank politics of the coalition government of Jharkhand is that today Hindus are not safe even in their homes in the state. This is shameful and worrying. He said that land and love jihad is going on in Santhal Pargana under government protection. The culture of Jharkhand is being destroyed. In this assembly election, the people of the state will teach a lesson to this anti-Hindu government.
