Rain alert in South India, be careful in these states
Due to the active North-East monsoon, there is a possibility of heavy rains and thunderstorms in the next few days in many states of South India.
- Today (7 November): Light to moderate rain may occur in Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, Rayalaseema and South Karnataka.
- The Meteorological Department has also issued a warning for the coming days, hence it has been advised to remain alert.
Snowfall on the mountains, cold increased in the plains
Due to the effect of western disturbance, the weather has changed in the hilly states of North India.
- Jammu-Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand There may be light rain as well as snowfall in the higher areas. This will have a direct impact on the plains and the cold will increase.
From Delhi to Bihar, condition of plain areas
- Delhi-NCR: The pollution level in the capital still remains ‘very bad’. According to the Meteorological Department, the sky will remain cloudy for the next two days and strong winds will blow, which will increase the feeling of cold. However, there is no hope of rain.
- Rajasthan: Now the weather here will remain mostly dry, but the temperature will start falling. According to Jaipur Meteorological Centre, there may be light clouds at some places and there may also be drizzle at some places.
- Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh: In these states too, a change in weather will be felt due to cloudy sky and blowing winds.
- Bihar: The weather here is expected to be completely clear. Mild cold and fog may start by 10th November.
- Jharkhand: Here too the weather will be dry and normal. You will feel slight cold in the morning, but the sky will remain clear during the day.

The Meteorological Department has predicted that now the temperature will drop in many parts of the country.
- Eastern Uttar Pradesh: The temperature may drop by 2-4 degrees Celsius in the next 24 hours.
- Central India: The mercury may drop by 2-4 degrees in the next 2 days.
- Eastern and Western India: Here too, the temperature is likely to drop by 2-3 degrees Celsius in the next few days, which will increase the cold.
