News India Live, Digital Desk: University Investigation: The recent controversy at Sri Ramswaroop Memorial University (SRMU) of Barabanki has forced the Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh to take a big and strict step. The government has now ordered a thorough investigation of every government and private universities and colleges in all 75 districts of the state. This decision shows the seriousness of the government regarding the safety and education environment of students in higher educational institutions.

Why this big decision was taken?

The whole matter started with videos related to a student in SRMU and subsequent uproar, due to which the atmosphere of studies in the university had deteriorated. After the incident came to light, a lot of resentment was expressed at the government level. The government believes that such incidents tarnish the image of educational institutions and affect the future of students. Therefore, to prevent any such incident in future, it has now been decided to conduct a big checking campaign in the entire state.

What things will be investigated?

This investigation will not only be Khanapurti, but many important aspects will be tested closely.

• Security system: What are the security arrangements of students, especially students in the campus? How is the arrangement of monitoring CCTV cameras, guards and visitors?
• Teacher-student ratio: Are there enough teachers in the college according to the number of students?
• Anti-Ragging Committee: Does the institute remain an anti-rugging cell and committee? And if it is made, is it actively working?
• Campus atmosphere: How is the atmosphere of education in college? Is any kind of factionalism or indiscipline being promoted?

All the District Magistrates have been instructed by the government to form teams under their supervision and complete this investigation and submit their report to the government as soon as possible. The purpose of this campaign is not just to find the deficiencies, but to ensure that every student in the colleges and universities of Uttar Pradesh can get a safe, disciplined and better educational environment.
