
ISRO: After Sriharikota, ISRO is going to build the second largest space station in the country in Gujarat. Preparations for this ambitious project have intensified. In this conversation, he told that the second largest space station in the country will be built in Gujarat with an investment of ₹ 10,000 crore. The Gujarat Space Station will be developed on the PPP model under the Center-State Associate Initiative. This high -tech space stations will be built between Diu and Veraval. This is where the SALV-PSLV will be launched.
It is noteworthy that the main rocket launch pad of the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) is at the Satish Dhawan Space Center in Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh. From here, India has launched many historical missions so far. Many satellites of the country and the world have been sent to space with the help of rockets like PSLV and GSLV from this center.
The Gujarat Space Mission Policy will provide huge economic and technical benefits. The proximity of Gujarat from the equator will give a revolutionary lead in space projections. 70 percent of ISRO’s program is now focused on communication, navigation and remote sensing. Chandrayaan 5 will be completed by 2026, the main-per-main Gaganyaan and Venus class missions. The Gujarat Space Station will take India’s space missions to new heights.
Let us tell you that in April 2025, the Government of Gujarat announced a dedicated policy to support industries through various incentives and financial assistance in the space technology sector. An official notification issued in this regard states that with the launch of ‘Spacetech Policy 2025-2030’, Gujarat has become the first state in India to formulate a specific policy for the space zone. To effectively implement this policy, the Government of Gujarat will work closely with the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), the Indian National Space Promotion and the Authority Center or the In-Space and the Department of Space of the Central Government.
