News India Live, Digital Desk: Samajwadi Party’s strongman Mohammad Azam Khan will finally come out of the prison bars today. After cutting in Sitapur jail for about 23 months, the path of his release has been completely cleared. He has got bail in 72 cases one after the other, after which the order of release reached the jail administration on Monday evening.
However, a small screw got stuck in his release. Due to some paperwork and non -payment of fine in an old case, the release which was to be held at 7 am, was postponed for a few hours, now it is expected that after the opening of the court and the rest of the process, they will come out by noon.
Fair of supporters outside the jail
The atmosphere outside Sitapur jail has been hot since morning. Thousands of supporters have gathered from Rampur and many nearby districts to get a glimpse of their leader. The entire area is echoing with the slogans of “Azam Khan Zindabad”. Azam Khan’s son Adeeb Azam has also reached jail to take him home. Tight security arrangements have been made outside the jail in view of the huge crowd of supporters.
Why was Azam Khan in jail?
Azam Khan was lodged in Sitapur Jail since October 2023. He has more than 100 different cases, including serious allegations, ranging from land grab to enemy property and son Abdullah Azam’s fake birth certificate. One by one one by one, the path of his release is opened after getting bail in almost all cases. Recently, he got bail from the Allahabad High Court in the Dungarpur case, which proved to be an important stage in his release.
The release of Azam Khan is being seen as a big event in the politics of Uttar Pradesh. What will be the effect on the political equations of the state after they come out, it will tell the time to come. But one thing is certain that there is going to be a stir in UP politics once again.
