4 main symptoms found before AC blast (AC Blast Signs)

Sudden strange and loud sound: If your AC suddenly starts making very loud, wheezing, rattling or strange noises like something rubbing against each other while running, then understand that there is a serious fault in its motor, fan or compressor. This can be the first and biggest cause of blast.

Bad smell: If suddenly a strong smell of burning plastic, electrical wires or any chemical starts coming in the room while the AC is running, then do not mistake it for a minor fault. This is a clear indication of internal short circuit or overheating of the compressor.

Sparks from the unit: If you see even the slightest spark coming from an indoor or outdoor unit, it is a very dangerous situation. This simply means that the wiring has melted or the electrical load is not correct.

Turn off the main power switch: The first and most important thing is to switch off the AC completely instead of switching it off remotely, directly from the power socket on the wall or from the MCB board of the house, so that the power supply gets cut off immediately.

Call an Expert Technician: Do not try to become a mechanic yourself after switching off the AC. Immediately call the company’s official service center or a professional technician and get a thorough checkup done.

Call the fire brigade: If, God forbid, flames start coming out of the AC after a short circuit, do not waste time in pouring water or extinguishing it yourself. Immediately evacuate safely with all members of the house and call the fire brigade.
Don’t make this big mistake even by mistake
Many times, when people hear noise or smell from the AC, they turn it off for some time and think that it will get cured on its own once it cools down a bit.
