Mafia Mukhtar Ansari’s son and MLA from Mau, Abbas Ansari, is not taking the name of the difficulties. The Allahabad High Court has given him another major blow. During the 2022 assembly elections, he had filed a petition to cancel the ongoing case against him in the case of threatening officials to “account”, which has been rejected by the court.
This is the case when Abbas Ansari was campaigning. He had threatened the officials from the open platform in a public meeting, saying, “No one will be transferred for 6 months after the formation of the government, first the most accounting will be done.” After this inflammatory speech, a case was registered against him for violating the code of conduct and threatening the officials.
Abbas Ansari had argued in the court that this case has been done to implicate him for political reasons. But the High Court did not listen to them.
The court clearly said that at first sight, a serious crime case is made against Abbas Ansari. The judge said that threatening government officials in this way during the election is not just a violation of the Election Code of Conduct, but a serious criminal case. This decision of the court means that this case will continue to run in MP-MLA court on Abbas Ansari and they will have to face it.
