Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has once again advised Aadhaar card users on Twitter (now X) platform to get PVC Aadhaar made. On the X post made on Friday, UIDAI has written, 'Aadhaar PVC card is a wallet sized card, which is more secure than before and it can be ordered online for just Rs 50. After this the new Aadhaar will be sent to your address through speed post.
Order from one number for all members
The process of making PVC Aadhar card is very easy. You can apply for PVC Aadhar Card and get it with the help of mobile or laptop sitting at home. The cost of speed post is also included in the Rs 50 spent for making this Aadhar card. If you want to order PVC cards for other members of your family besides yourself, then you do not need to call from different numbers, rather the facility to order from a single number has also been provided.
This is the application process
The process of ordering PVC Aadhaar card has been made easier by the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI). You can do this work sitting at home with the help of your mobile or laptop. For this you have to follow some steps…
- You have to go to UIDAI website (https://uidai.gov.in).
- Click on 'Order Aadhaar PVC Card' in 'My Aadhaar Section'.
- Now enter 12 digit Aadhaar number or 16 digit Virtual ID or 28 digit EID.
- After entering this number, enter the security code or captcha. After this click on Send OTP.
- An OTP will come on your registered mobile number, after entering it, click on the submit button.
- A preview copy of the PVC card will appear on the new screen, containing all the details related to your Aadhaar.
- Verify all the information you see on the screen and place the order if you are satisfied with it.
- There will be an option to pay in points. You pay Rs 50 through UPI, Net Banking or Debit-Credit Card.
- After completing this process, further processing of your PVC Aadhaar request will start.
- If the payment is successful, the process of sending the Aadhaar PVC card to your address will start.
