Bijnor, 31 August (HS) | A meeting was held today afternoon in the Collectorate Auditorium under the chairmanship of District Magistrate Ankit Kumar Agarwal regarding celebrating the Bijnor Festival program on the occasion of completion of 200 years of Bijnor district. The District Magistrate said that the main objective of the Bijnor Festival program is to give a special identity to Bijnor district at the national and international level and to tell people about Bijnor.

He told that Bijnor Mahotsav program will be celebrated for three days. He told that under this program, various types of cultural, historical programs will be organized at the district headquarters under which people will be informed about the history of Bijnor district through various mediums. He also told that sports activities will also be organized. He asked all those present to provide their cooperation in making this program successful and ensure participation by inviting as many successful and excellent people of the district as possible.

The District Magistrate said that Bijnor district is an agricultural district and there are immense possibilities of tourism along with industry. He said that at present the road connectivity of the district is getting better than before due to which investors are also showing interest in investing here. He directed all the departmental officers to ensure that they play their role in making this program a success.

On this occasion, Chief Development Officer Purna Bora, Additional District Magistrate (Administration) Vinay Kumar Singh, Principal, ITI, Deputy Commissioner (Industries), Assistant Commissioner and District Assistant Registrar, Cooperation, District Disabled Empowerment Officer, District Sports Officer, Ayurvedic Medical Officer, Executive Officer, Municipality, Manager, Vivek College/Krishna College etc. were present.
