A policeman posted in PAP committed suicide by hanging himself in his house

Batala: On Friday, a policeman posted in PAP committed suicide by hanging himself under suspicious circumstances at his residence in Ram Nagar Malave, Batala. Police station city has taken the body into its custody and kept it in the mortuary of Civil Hospital Batala. The deceased policeman has been identified as Sanjeev Kumar, about 30 years old, son of Narendra Pal, resident of Ram Nagar.

In this regard, Police Station City Sub Inspector Balraj Singh said that at 4.30 in the evening he received information that a person had committed suicide in Ram Nagar. They reached the spot and took possession of the dead body and started further legal action. He told that the deceased Sanjeev Kumar who was not married yet and was posted in PAP and was currently on duty in Hoshiarpur. He said that the reasons for the death of deceased Sanjeev Kumar are being ascertained and further legal action is being taken on the basis of the statement of the family members.
