New Delhi: A sensational twist has come in the famous King Raghuvanshi murder case of Indore. The Special Investigation Team (SIT) of the Meghalaya Police investigating the case was shocked when the two accused in the murder were retracted by their earlier statements in front of the magistrate. These accused, who supported Raja’s wife Sonam Raghuvanshi, refused to confess their crime in the court.
The entire case is from last month, when King Raghuvanshi, a resident of Indore, was brutally murdered during a honeymoon in Meghalaya.His wife Sonam Raghuvanshi, her lover Raj Kushwaha and three other friends, Vishal Chauhan, Akash Rajput and Anand Kurmi were accused in the murder conspiracy.
The Meghalaya Police had claimed the arrest of all the accused in this case and said that they have confessed their crime. But now after Akash Rajput and Anand Kurmi turned from the statement in front of the magistrate, a new twist has come in the case. Shillong SP (City) Herbert Piniad Kharakongor, who is leading the SIT, said that on Thursday, when Akash and Anand were presented before the magistrate, they remained silent and refused to make any statement.
Police sources say that the reversal of the accused with such a statement can affect the investigation. However, the SIT chief says that he has enough evidence against the accused and is waiting for the report of Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL). He also clarified that the statements made before the police are not valid as evidence in the court, while the statement given before the magistrate is very important.
The case started as a story of a “missing couple”, when no 29 -year -old king and 24 -year -old Sonam could not be detected. Later, this story took a dreadful turn and a trusted murder was revealed. Both of them married in Indore on 11 May. Now it will be seen that after this new development, the investigation moves in which direction and when the family of King Raghuvanshi gets justice.
