A new nursery of crime has emerged near Banaras, sensational disclosure of 165 new gangs like Mahakal, Surya Sarkar and RDX.

Amidst all the government claims of complete eradication of criminals and mafia in Uttar Pradesh, the ground situation in Purvanchal is testifying to something else. Despite the swift encounters and strict action taken by the UP Police, a new batch of new and fearless criminals has emerged on the ground. A secret investigation by the police in only three districts adjacent to the Varanasi (Banaras) range – Ghazipur, Chandauli and Jaunpur has revealed very shocking and sensational things. In this area, 165 new criminal gangs have become active with very strange and ‘bhaukaali’ names like ‘Mahakal’, ‘Surya Sarkar’, ‘RDX’ and ‘Mukhiya’. After the recent investigation of the Range Police, a detailed blacklist of a total of 1080 vicious members including the leaders of these new gangs has been prepared, which has created a stir in the police department.

Murder of hotel businessman’s son and clue of ‘Katra Gang’ exposed

Actually, this entire dreadful network was exposed after the sensational murder of the son of a renowned hotelier in Ghazipur. During the investigation of this murder, the police got clues of a new and emerging gang named ‘Katra Gang’. After this, DIG Range Vaibhav Krishna, seeing the seriousness of the matter, issued a strict order to identify new and small criminal gangs operating in Ghazipur as well as in the neighboring districts Chandauli and Jaunpur and eliminate them.

Police tightened its grip with ‘Operation Vajrapat’, 23 criminals sent to jail

To uproot this new nursery of crime from the land of Purvanchal, the Range Police launched a mega campaign named ‘Operation Vajrapath’ from June 1 to June 5. During this 5-day special campaign, the police, after a lot of hard work, prepared a complete list of 165 new gangs. The horoscopes of a total of 1080 active members of these gangs were scrutinized, out of which new cases have been immediately registered against 94 criminals, while 23 very vicious criminals have been arrested and sent directly behind the bars. On the instructions of the DIG, a complete background data base of mobile numbers of all these gang members, list of their helpers and social media handles is being prepared.

Terror of 56 gangs including ‘Chaaku’ and ‘Team Dada’ in Jaunpur

If we look at the district wise figures, Jaunpur district is becoming a big hub of new criminals. A total of 56 new gangs like Mahakal (Rajnivand), Surya Sarkar, Mani Sarkar 307, Team Dada, Yaduvanshi, Chaaku Gang Amarethua, Gang of Patela, Medha, Sikrara, Badlapur and Sujanganj Chor Gang have been listed in Jaunpur. A total of 423 criminals, including leaders and members, are involved in these gangs. Police have registered 10 new cases here and arrested 8 miscreants.

‘RDX’ and ‘Panther’ dominate in Ghazipur and ‘Ahiran King’ and ‘Thakuran’ dominate in Chandauli.

In Ghazipur district, 45 gangs like Shubham Yadav Gang, RDX Paswan, Hunter, Panther, Swan, Shaukat Qureshi, Vijay Singh Shooter, Radhe-Radhe, Muzammil, King of 9099, Traders and Nagsar Gang have been identified, which include 401 criminals. Here maximum 35 cases have been registered and 11 accused have been sent to jail. On the other hand, in Chandauli district, in the name of caste and regional dominance, a total of 64 gangs named Kishan Rangdar, Mukhiya, Samarendra Mafia, Ahiran King, Rajputana, Thakuran, Bixar Chauhan, Shaktiman, D-Gang and Virat have emerged, in which a total of 265 members are active.

Panic is being spread through caste, region and social media reels.

Investigation has also revealed that these new age boys are recruiting youth into their gangs not only on the basis of guns, but in the name of caste identity and regional supremacy. The most worrying thing is that all these criminal gangs are using Facebook Live, Instagram Reels and WhatsApp groups extensively. Through these social media platforms, threatening businessmen for extortion, showing weapons and spreading terror by making reels of their criminal activities has become their main profession. Police have further intensified their surveillance and action on social media groups like Ayush Yadav Rider Rukupur, Anand Gupta 325, Nishant Tiwari 302 of Jaunpur and ‘009 Yaduvanshi Brand’, ‘Revatipur Gang-1’ of Ghazipur and ‘2929 and 7074 Gang’ of WhatsApp.
