Mangesh Kumar, CFO of Lucknow Fire Brigade, said that we got information at 9.44 pm and the entire team reached the spot as soon as the information was received. When I went there, I saw that people were running away due to fire. Some people were peeping out of the hospital windows and trying to jump. Apart from this, some people were running down the stairs.

After reaching the spot, we saw that the situation here is serious and people could die when jumping from the windows. In such a situation, the teams were distributed and then some people were taken out of the stair and some were taken out with ropes. Meanwhile, some team members were busy extinguishing the fire. The team extinguished the fire in just 30 minutes.

CFO
Mangesh Kumar said that during the rescue, our team broke the glass in the hospital. This provided cross ventilation arrangements and rescue work accelerated. Also, cross ventilation did not obstruct patients in breathing. Due to which they could be evacuated. The fire started on the second floor while the smoke reached all the floors. Due to which people felt that the entire hospital had caught fire. But the fire was only till the second floor.

District Magistrate Visakh ji Iyer said that as soon as we received the fire in the hospital, we sent teams of the fire and rescue department. He started rescue operations.
