Jaunpur, 03 August (HS). A girl going to school from a village under Parauganj outpost of Jalalpur police station area was kidnapped by three miscreants riding a black four wheeler near Pani on Friday morning and in the evening they left her on Azamgarh Varanasi road in Cholapur police station area of Varanasi district and fled.
Ritika Saroj (13), a girl from Rehari village under Parauganj police station, left her home at 8 am for a private school located in Mahuari village. In the afternoon, Ritika's father Rajiv Saroj went out for some work. When he returned home, he found out that his daughter had not yet returned home. When he inquired at the school, he came to know that the school was closed and Ritika had not reached the school today. On hearing this, Rajiv Saroj was shocked and everyone including the school teacher started enquiring about the girl. After some time, he received a call from Cholapur police station area that his daughter had been found there. On talking to Ritika, she told that she was going to school in the morning and three people came in a black coloured four wheeler and forcibly made her sit in the vehicle and later left her there. When the kidnappers left Ritika there, she became distraught as soon as she got down. Some people working there made Ritika sit at a shop and asked her about water. Ritika was not able to tell anything except the name of the village and the name of her parents. Ritika had injuries on both her hands. Jalalpur police reached the spot and after getting her treated at the community health centre, handed over Ritika to her family and Parauganj police station. Ritika's father Rajiv Saroj is a BJP leader and her mother is the divisional president of BJP's Mahila Morcha in Thana Gaddi. The incident of kidnapping of the girl has been registered in the complaint given by the father in Jalalpur police station late at night.
Also, the complaint mentions that he was beaten up. The father said that after throwing the girl away, the miscreants threatened to kill him and also said that they knew his family very well. If he told anyone, they would kill his entire family.
In this case, late Friday night, SP City Brijesh Kumar told that Rajiv Kumar gave a written complaint at the police station and told that my daughter, who is a class 6 student, was kidnapped by miscreants riding a Scorpio while going to school in the morning. She was left on the border of Varanasi. She was beaten up. On the basis of the complaint, a case has been registered and a team has been formed to arrest the accused. The victim has not mentioned the incident of rape during interrogation. Still, she has been sent for medical.
