Ranchi, 02 August (HS). Swarnarekha Utthan Samiti is organizing a Kanwar Yatra on 18 August with the aim of making Swarnarekha river pollution free and creating awareness among people for the conservation of ancient Ikkiso Mahadev. This yatra will start from Ranichua in Nagdi, the origin of Swarnarekha river, and will conclude at the ancient Ikkiso Mahadev in Chutia. In this 25 km long Kanwar Yatra, more than 1000 Kanwariyas will collect water from Ranichua and come to Ikkiso Mahadev on foot to perform Jalabhishek in the Shivlings of Nagavanshi period. Last year also, Kanwar Yatra was organized by Swarnarekha Utthan Samiti. Gautam Deb and Manoj Mahato can be contacted to join this Yatra. In the said Yatra, Kanwariyas will start the Yatra at 9 am by collecting water from Ranichuaan. The Yatra will reach Harmu located at Ketari Garden and Ikkiso Mahadev located at the confluence of Swarnarekha River via Nagdi, Kathal Mod, Argora Chowk, Ashok Nagar, Club Road, Siram Toli, Chutia.
There will be 4 stops for the rest of the Kanwariyas in this yatra. The first stop will be Swarnarekha Banquet Hall in Nagdi, the second will be Kathal Mod, the third will be Budha Mahadev Mandir in Argora and the fourth stop will be City Center on Club Road. Here the team of Maa Foundation under the leadership of Dr. Suman Dubey will make arrangements for rest and medical treatment for the Kanwariyas. There will be bus and ambulance arrangements in the yatra, there will also be bus arrangements for those Kanwariyas who will have trouble walking.
