While on one hand the country is witnessing the rainy season, there is a place where the heat in July is as intense as April and May. Where people go to roam the mountains and enjoy nature, the Sun God is now angry. The situation has become so dire that schools and colleges had to be closed. This is about Jammu and Kashmir.

Severe heat wave

The situation in Kashmir is like summer at this time. Not only this, primary schools had to be closed for two days in the month of July because there is a heat wave there. All private and government schools in Kashmir have been ordered to remain closed on 29 and 30 July. Kashmir Divisional Commissioner VK Bidhuri announced this order and said that students should not be called. However, teachers have been asked to come to school.

order to close school

VK Bidhuri said in his order that due to the ongoing heat in the valley, government and private schools have been ordered to remain closed till 29 and 30 July. In areas like Anantnag in South Kashmir, the situation is such that people are seen going to the ravines to take bath. A local citizen said that such a situation is happening due to global warming. Most areas of Kashmir including Srinagar have not seen such severe heat. Due to the heat, people have to resort to lakes, ravines and waterfalls to escape.

25 year old record broken

The heat in Kashmir has broken the record of the last 25 years in July itself. On Sunday, the temperature in Srinagar reached 36 degrees Celsius.
