Aligarh: A case has come to light in Aligarh, which will shock everyone, because it is related to the health of all of us. Here, when the Food Safety and Drug Administration (FSDA) team raided a flour mill, they found that stone powder was being mixed in the flour. The team recovered more than 400 kg of stone powder from here. It was allegedly being mixed in flour packets.

FSDA Assistant Commissioner Ajay Jaiswal said, “A flour mill selling flour under the brand name Panchvati Atta in Aligarh's industrial area was raided after senior district officials informed us. We recovered more than 400 kg of stone powder, called alabaster, from the premises.” The raid was conducted on Thursday, the official said. He said stone powder was being mixed in flour sacks at the mill.

Jaiswal said, “During the raid, the mill workers were caught mixing powder in the flour sacks. We are working to ensure further action against the owner of this factory.” He said that a campaign is being run to recall the entire stock of the flour brand from the market.
